Bamford Rose's "Oscar"
Discussion
Annual Report: We're about a year on from the upgrade Bamford Rose performed on my Aston V12 Roadster (named "Oscar") so here's a few thoughts:
The car has now done over 13k miles and has performed flawlessly. It has returned over 17 mpg over that period despite a couple of track days at Brands and Spa (where having over 570 bhp on tap gave the instructors demonstrating the new V12S some embarrassing moments) which isn't too bad.
The car has been as far north as John O' Groats and has cruised down to the South of France with couple of trips to Snowdonia to enjoy the "EVO Triangle" thrown in. I'm looking forward to touring the relatively empty roads of Spain sometime later this year where I'll be able to enjoy to the full the fabulous noise and extra power that should have been part of the car when originally delivered from Aston (although the upgrade at Bamford Rose was performed within a few weeks of delivery so I didn't miss out for long).
Overall a great first year and many thanks due to Mike and the guys and Bamford Rose.

Fabulous looking car - lovely colour combo.
Great to see most of these V12VR's are being used for what they are meant for - I know how much fun we have had in ours and only done 7k miles
so double the distance!!!

ironically the limited edition high value cars are being used a fair bit more than most Aston ownersYet another very satisfied Bamford Rose customer. When Purdey was totalled and replaced by a new Vantage S sure it was great to have a new car albeit one that didn't go , handle and sound like its predecessor I simply had no choice . Off it went to BR to have the business done . Pearl was born, she boasts 470BHP with added torque. The engine revs freely thanks to a lightweight flywheel, the gear change is virtually seamless thanks to the twin plate clutch which will probably last the life of the car. Being the first to have active suspension fitted I can honestly say that the result is so good I would suggest putting it at the top of any proposed upgrades that BR offer.

I like the interior. The car would look even better with proper coloured (aka legal) plates on though imo.
Wasn't what I was getting at, more that I wondered if it is a Jersey plate or something? I can't recollect seeing the combination of 3 numbers with 2 letters before in the UK. RichB said:

I wasn't aware they had different styles. Would still look better with normal UK ones on though imo!
