Since it was looking sunny out and I work from home I thought i'd take the opportunity to spend my lunch pootling down the seafront with the top off. I love my car, it may not be perfect but it sure does make me smile, the perfect tonic to a dull working day!

Bring on the weekend! The photo is awful as I took it with my phone and was facing direct sunlight - but who cares I put it up anyway.

I know the feeling. No sun here for the last couple of days but did get down to the beach.

Forecast for tomorrow is good so looking forward to another drive down the coast and come back via the local race circuit to see if anything going on.

My kind of drive. I've done some great driving around the coast of GB but wouldn't get within 30 miles of it right now without the risk of drowning.

Your car must be super rare over there! So cool to think of that Blackpool built beast tearing around in Japan!

You'd be surprised - have you dipped in to the Random TVR Photo's thread?

They drive on the left as well in Japan so a lot of second hand rare cars end up there.

A lot of Lotus Esprits were exported there when the Japanese realised how relatively cheap they were second hand over here.

Only ever seen one other on the road while I've been driving around Tokyo, so chances of seeing someone with the same car are always very small. I would suspect that most are only weekend drivers and not for Tokyo use - mine only goes to Tokyo when it's good weather and I know I'll be leaving early smile

Japan outside of Tokyo is the place to be if you like to drive. Yes it has a really low speed limit of 80km/h in most roads and occasionally 100km/h. But.... very few speed cameras. Radar detectors are completely legal - and a booming business, police speed traps need to be advertised in print 2 days in advance is what I'm told too, although academic as I can't read Japanese.

Get out of Tokyo onto some of the Skyline roads and you have some fantastic motoring with excellent road conditions and fantastic views. This is where you will see the club cars and exotics, cruising these skylines in the daytime and racing them in the evening. Once I have the confidence in the reliability of my car, I'll be heading out there, but will be a year or two before I get there, have only taken the car up Mt Fuji so far.

There are always a few TVR's up for sale here -> http://www.goo-net-exchange.com/usedcars/TVR/index... and mine came from a listing on there. Have never seen another 500 get advertised there, would like to see another though, compare notes and such.

Have more to write, but feels like I'm hijacking this gentleman's thread. Will start a new one to introduce myself properly later today. For now the sun is shining, cameras are charged up and I feel like going for a drive!

Hey Dazee there's a Chim for sale and advertised as a clubman!!!! Can you bell them and put them straight. Lol.
Be great to hear your story and I for one applaud you for flying the Tvr flag so far away from its home and possibly yours.
