Setting up Land Rover stereo with BT
Discussion
When you say "it's not possible to hear me when I call it"......d'you mean the phone's not picking up your voice, or the head unit isn't broadcasting it?
Might be a phone thing where you need to select the stereo as the preferred output. Had similar with an iPhone and an earlier version of that stereo. Very good once set up though.

I have just set up one of these Alpine units with great difficulty but there is a (twisted) logic to it.
If yours has a telelphone button, hold it down and a menu appears. Go through any bluetooth devices already stored and clear them (on mine, you twist the volume control to move along the menus and press the volume button to accept/enter).
Once all the devices are clear, enable bluetooth visibility on your phone and press the telephone button on the alpine again - go to BT setup and go through the menus again to connect your phone.

Anyhow, seems like saying "If it's on a Defender, none of it works" is just another d
head popping in to have a pointless snipe at the brand.Crossflow Kid said:
My statement still stands. The head unit problem isn't a Land Rover one it's an Alpine one, and whilst I know almost anything on a vehicle is out-sourced, ICE stuff is notoriously quirky beyond what could reasonably be called Land Rover's responsibility.

I read the statement from LHD differently... A bit like this:Anyhow, seems like saying "If it's on a Defender, none of it works" is just another d
head popping in to have a pointless snipe at the brand."Are you talking about the Alpine unit, as fitted to the Defender? If so, none of them work well with BlueTooth."

Now we've clarified the statement from LHD, does your statement still stand Crossflow?
