Going to use our freebie from LR tomorrow. It came to us after buying the Evoque. I have to say I cannot wait to see its worth out in the field. I have done a couple of these before one in a Defender and one in a Disco and found it great fun and amazing what they can do. Not expecting the Evoque to be any where as good as other LD products, but I want the wife to do it,so she knows the capabilities of the car, cannot wait to see her face as she goes round. I will give a little review.

Not for one minute did I think the Evoque was this capable off road. It might get ridiculed when compared to its more expensive brothers but after 4 hours off road with this car I can honestly say its brilliant. It will do nearly all its brothers can do without drama. On the muddy tracks it will climb out of potholes then up the rocky tracks just like the Disco, in fact we followed one on our first run. You do have to pick your way through when the potholes get really deep as grounding can happen. It will go up all the gradients he even reversed back up one. We stopped on one gradient 60% and did a hill start. The instructors there all agree its a fantastic car off road and people who mock it ought to come and drive it round the course they will soon change their minds. I for one will give it a lot more respect, after a thoroughly enjoyable morning

The guy showed us how to use the trickery to its full advantage, and now we really do know how it works, that cannot be a bad thing. Can it.

Thanks for posting this. I'm off to Peckforton on Thursday for my LRE day, after buying an Evoque last year. Can't wait now to see first hand what the car can do!

Have been to Peckforton twice now with Land Rover, once in a Range Rover and again in a Discovery.

Went some years back too, in a Touareg for half a day and then half a day at Oulton Park.

Really enjoyed each time and it just shows what these vehicles are capable of.

Did think about a Touareg how good was it round the course. The new Disco is awesome I would think the best around

Surprisingly really very good, at both Peckforton and Oulton Park.

It was before LR established their base there and also involved a bit of hill climbing etc in some fields just off the A49 too.
