Someone Keyed my 997!

Hi all, so some %#^<*+<€<^<^#€###}# keyed my my 997, I suspect it's one of the neighbours. The scratch is vicious, I don't understand what kind of people have the mentality to do such a thing. I have lost faith in humanity!
Anyway, I am looking for a recommendation for a service that can fix this for me. I live in north london and would really appreciate some recommendations?

Thanks for all your responses. I am not sure what would be better, pay £500 excess and get my insurance to deal with it or get its done by someone recommended here.
I'll call wembley and 911 guys and get a qoute.
I have previously used a mobile service to repair a bumper scratch on an BMW I had years ago. Do you guys recommend using a similar service? will highly appreciate it if you recommend again.

Chips away recently did a car park gouge on the plastic bumper of our met blue Q5 (about £120 from memory?). It's not perfect, but good enough, however, it looks like your damage is on the bodywork, not the bumper, so can't take advantage of the panel line as a cut off? I would give that a go and see if it happens again, before shelling out £600+ at a body shop?

I would not use a mobile service for paint work.
But it all depends how deep it is, if not deep you can wet sand fill with just clear coat and resend back.
Does not look like that's down to bear metal to me.
Paint shops will also quote for a full repaint and blend in which I would want to avoid if possible.

I still feeling very angry about the whole thing, any ideas about how I can catch this person? It's one of my neighbours.
The have and issue when I park at the back of our flats where we have a bit of communal parking. I left my car there for two weeks when I had to go abroad for on urgent matter. Some neighbours feel that they have a birth right to those spaces as their doors are closer to those spaces. They don't like anyone else using those spaces although they are for everyone's use.
I have had my car egged twice but I refused to not park there as a matter of principal. The space is for everyone.
I am thinking of putting a notice up for cash reward for a witness, or leave my car there again but our in a camera

Time to send the neighbours a message......go buy a legal banger for a couple of hundred pounds, the worse looking the better but definitely legal.
Then park it in one of those much cherished spaces and leave it there for 6 months
They will eventually challenge you which will provoke the "I'm proving a point message"

If it is one of your neighbours it's going to be painful. Can you see your car where it's parked? I would personally put a sign in the car advising that video recording is in progress for crime prevention. You can put a camera in your car and record any damage via this. There are a few on axon from around £25.
Ideally, if you can see the car, record from your flat as well. Hope this is just an isolated incident. Life's too short. In the short term before I've taken my car to an OPC and had a word with their vehicle prep guys. They've buffed a few things out for me and slipped them £20 for their trouble. Good luck!

kwitedness, the other to drive to the lock up garage where you should now keep your 997I feel sorry for you, not a nice situation to be in.
If it was me (and it has been in the past), I would first notify the Police of the vandalism and get a crime number. I would then buy one of the incar cameras and have it fitted, and set up a camera indoors if you can see the car as advised above, (dummy camera with led visible from outside even if car not visible). I would contact the managing agents for the maintenance of the flats and get them to send all the leaseholders a letter saying about vandalism and saying that you have contacted the Police and the parking area is now being recorded to gather further evidence for prosecution. The letter should also remind all leaseholders of the terms for parking in the area i.e.first come first served for all genuine residents. The letter does not have to give your name/address if you do not want it to, you are just "a resident". The managing agents should do this immediately if asked. (If they drag their heels speak to whoever is the chairman of your Ltd company for the flats, hopefully that's not the same neighbour who is the vandal - attend your next AGM also and have these incidents minuted.) Speak to other neighbours too if you get the chance, they are also potential victims and you will have extra eyes looking out for you so chat to as many of them as you get a chance to, telling them that you've notified the Police. Only after contacting the Police and managing agents should you look to have the car repaired. Check your insurance to ensure you declared parking in that area before making a claim if you are going the insurance route.
You should find you don't have any more problems if you take the above steps, I did something similar some years ago and it worked for me. But if you do have more vandalism you stand a better chance of having some evidence to get the tosser asbo'd. If you aren't confident that this will work then it is probably best to get your car repaired via insurance so that any future damage is covered. Vandal claims are looked upon sympathetically/almost expected (sadly) by some insurers on BMWs and Porsches, so your premium may not load up too badly next year if you have protected NCD.
If you do have further problems despite doing all you could reasonably be expected to then you may have to consider parking elsewhere, whilst always remembering you have done nothing wrong here; it is the vandal who has the problem, they are the one who is breaking the law and risking criminal prosecution due to a defect of their character. And as someone has already suggested, parking a legal eyesore there for 6 months will probably send them over the edge completely and force a review of their medication!
