Sorry I've been AWOL for a bit,
impossible to get a bit of peace here

I hope to confirm the dates with Barn Farm by the end of next week, just to avoid any clash with Scout Jamboree weekends & so we don't get snarled up in Hayfield Carnival

Provisional dates are Fri 27th June to Sun 29th June, with the Scenic Run Out on Sat 28th. So pencil it in your diaries Gents as pretty definite .

If no-one objects, I think we could utilise the same route & hope for improved visibility this year.

I'll start an official thread with all the details as soon as I get confirmation.

Mmmmm, I can almost taste those BBQ'd peacocks already.

Talking about the Messiah bit, did I hear you were promising sun and dry ground for us, rather than floods and tempests?

Don't mind the route staying the same....just hope I get there this year to try it for the first time!

If there are no floods, how can I do my walking on water thing?
I can say that it should be two weeks warmer this year. ( Unless the Polar Vortex persists ).

As Longers recommends, appropriate clothing for the weekend is:
a couple of pairs of waterproof thermal shorts

Mike, I thought high-flyers like you would be used to a few clouds
To be fair it was only foggy on one section.
We had a good view of the carnival procession.

The following day it was glorious sunshine.......

Hi Andy,
I'm afraid the peacocks ( for there are a few of them, not just one ) are best friends with the llamas, and if any peacock should come to harm, the llamas would rise up in terrible rage & anger & wreak a horrible retribution against the perpetrators.
The thing that starts the peacocks off is noise, so if you could tell Amy to stop her snoring, all will be peaceful.

I wouldn't want a llama to harm her, it would upset the farmer,
and ruin our karma, so best try to calm her.

Glen, I showed your post to Amy, she doesn't agree and seems to think the snoring came from another tent not to far from ours! Who could it have been?

OK Guys 'n Gals,
I've had an email from Mark at Barn Farm confirming that our usual spot is available for the weekend of 27/ 28/ 29th June 2014, so I have booked it.
The price is unchanged at a very reasonable £7.50 per person per night, payable at reception on arrival.

I'll post a thread in due course with the full details, so those interested can stick their names on the list.

I'm fairly sure that those who would like to distance themselves from the peacocks can camp in the top field on that 45 degree slope

Just need to sort out the weather now......

Barn Farm want an idea of numbers for the site & it's also to inform the Red Lion & the Ladybower for expected catering requirements ( nosebags? ) when we trot along for our mane meal.
