Don't you just love 'em?

My boss was off to do a sales pitch yesterday, and the bloke he was meeting had the same name as him. (yikes and no, his name is not Steve Smith hehe)

Odometer shots taken this week from two of my cars:

What other coincidences have people had?

After a good few coincidences cropped up within the space of a few weeks, I stayed over at a friends house...

..as I lay in the bed mulling over these coincidences I glanced over at a pile of books in the corner of the room - one of which was titled 'Beyond Coincidence'.

I like them - just when you think youve got it all figured out a good coincidence pops up to keep you on your toes!.. either that or my life's script writer is having a laugh.

I was having a poo in a public loo once, and someone else came in and did a poo too!

The human brain is designed to pick up on random connections.

let's say there have been 10,000 "events" in your life during the past week. What is the probability of any two of these events being connected at random?

Anyway coincidences slightly more interesting than mileage readings wink

A mate of mine has been looking at buying a car off ebay. on Thursday he decided to make the 200 mile round trip to come and view it this weekend.
On friday, a customer of his had a last-minute panic and needed some kit before Monday morning. Mate offered to drive it up, because in the most incredible of coincidences, the customer is based in the exact same yard as the vehicle for sale. Not only did he get a bargain buy, he got paid to deliver the customer's kit!

My ex and I had spent the majority of our lives in Oxfordshire, although our parents were from Oop North and moved down south in the late eighties. Turns out that my mum and her mum were from the same small town and went to the same school, with the ex's mum being a friend of my mum's sister.

I didn't take my vehicles out for a run over the last couple of weeks; Ice breakers get stuck in the ice.

Me thinks there's a link there.

Our daughter (who lives 250 miles away) bought us exactly the same set of wine glasses for Christmas that we bought her.

I bought a car bumper on ebay. The seller seemed to live close to my brother (based on the postcode), so I asked him to pick it up. It turned out to be a side road off his street, and the seller was his kids form tutor.

Problem is neither of the OPs examples are coincidences. His boss has a fairly unusual name so is only likely to bump into someone with the same name once or twice in his life - and it happened.
He has two cars - the one that had lower mileage he has been doing more miles in and at some point the two were going to have the same mileage
If his boss had met two people with his name on the same day, that would be a coincidence, or both cars had the same mileage on the day he bought them that also would a coincidence (unless they were brand new of course) but this is just normal to inevitable.
