Hi All

Can someone advise the benefits of the lower suspension lug braces? I missed the original thread.

Now available from the factory, rear lower suspension lug braces. £60+VAT per set. 3 week leadtime.

I am pretty sure these are the lugs that prevent the torque of the engine bending the suspension mounts under hard acceleration. Particularly for very powerful engines.

If we are talking about the same thing I have these!

Thanks Mark makes sense, not heading for massive power with standard LS3 planned but will fit these anyhow

The chassis was designed such that these lugs would break away if you took off a corner during a crash.
They, and the arms would come away without doing significant damage to the chassis.
Even with high power and normal use they should be fine. I belive those who have had problems with the lugs bending were pulling high power on the rollers with the chassis tied down.

In road use I would say overall you are better off not fitting them.

I choose them in my build, but then I may be going for LSA poser or a upgraded LTx when they become available. These parts may also stiffen the suspension movements.
