Lack of private cars for sale?

Looking around for something to replace my old car with and there seems to be a real lack of private cars for sale at the moment? Any thoughts as to why (i know its winter etc, but theres usually more cars then this for sale even in January)?

What sort of thing are you after? Mine is safely tucked away ready for spring, like most I would assume.

Got an open mind to be honest. Looking for something interesting, decent power output but if it needs a little work that's fine (I enjoy pottering).

I am sure most are on here but caterham graduates website also lists (albeit ex-race cars) cars for sale.

Not sure there are always 'lots' of private adverts of Caterham's for sale

Mind you the site says 49 for sale and seems to be displaying 5 so probably a problem with the website

Just tried it with Fiat Punto the search says 214 available but only displaying two pages........

If you want to rebuild a car from scratch, I've got a 2003 SV with the 140hp 1800 K-Series motor. The chassis is with Arch for shot blasting , powercoating and re-panelling at the moment. You can have it at any stage of the rebuild if it's something of interest to you.
