rear windscreen heater

today my rear window had misted up. I put the rear electric window heaters on to demist and I noticed one of the lines was working.

Is this usual or should every heater line work? the car still has warranty is this something I could get fixed at the dealer under warranty?

Not sure if you can still get it, but (25+!) years ago I bought some "electrical" paint. It was like correction fluid. I could see where the elements were broken on my old Mini screen, and I used this paint to reconnect the sections. There were 3 blobs noticeable close-up, but all the lines on the screen worked again!

Just Googled it and you CAN still get it!!
