JLR record sales.

Sales up and having to recruit more UK staff
and for the first time I can remember I'd cheerfully have one of every model they make. (I'm ignoring the three door Evoque, cos I'll have a five door
)

A chap at work has just got an XF on a cracking finance deal. Not my thing, but I don't see any 4 door exec cars that I like more. You can't argue with JLR design/marketing policy, as the sales figures testify. I just feel that the cars (particularly the LR products) are far too fussy in design, especially externally. I don't think they will age well. I would go so far as to call the new FFRR fugly!..
Up until about 4 years ago, I must admit, I didn't see the attraction in Jaguar. I wasn't particularly against their looks or anything, I just preferred Ze Germans and Jap cars.
This all changed when SWMBO changed her Passat for a late S-Type 4.2. Pace, space and grace (just about
) and we were both smitten. Since then, she's replaced the S with it's current equivalent, an XF V8, and even my daily driver is an X-Type 3.0 manual.
A big thank you then, to Ford for turning the ship around (and signing off most of the current designs), and TATA for the massive investment and also for letting Jag just get on with it!
