2013 C63 - reversing aid

Obvs I have reversing sensors/camera but last week my dash lit up with a steering wheel and a intermittent beep which I've never seen before and haven't seen it since. Is there a certain mode you need to be in?

This wasn't the park assist kicking in was it? That shows a steering wheel in the dash display as it thinks it's trying to help you park in a parking space that it's identified. Just a thought.

OK but the C63 doesn't have active steering assist?

I think the link is correct. It's not an 'active' system that parallel parks for you but instead, it's one where you follow the instructions given - turn wheel, straighten up etc etc. You still have to operate all the controls, it's just a guide telling you what to do. Tbh, I've used it on my C63 and found it a bit useless.

The automatic parking thing on the E63 is pretty impressive. Takes a leap of faith to use it, but works really well.
