Which headlight bulbs classic impreza
Discussion
Just had the bulbs out for a look, mtec 100/90 in there, never heard of these before, but they are covered in a blue film, hence the blue light.
Im sure this must dim the light output of the bulbs to some extent, plus the contrast at night isn't helped with the blue tinge.
Ill see what halfords have in stock.
Cheers

I've got Nightbreakers in my MR2, very good bulbs, especially at full beam. I think the best ones I've used we're Ring high performance bulbs bought from a motor factors but I can't remember the exact model.
Even Halfords performance bulbs are noticeably better than standard although it is a shame that almost all high performance bulbs have a blue tinge, Nightbreakers et'al included.

Been down halfords and got a set of their ultra range, 120% brighter, in 60/55w size as per owners manual.
Well what a difference these make, i didn't realise the old bulbs were that size, so over rated and illegal as mentioned above and by the halfords geek, possibly damaging the wiring to boot.
The 60/55w blow them away, and when you put main beam on you see more road instead of seeing about the same.
Job done.
Only had this car a few months, and every improvement ive made so far has involved putting the original equipment back.

If you drive on unlit country roads regularly, I had the PIAA fog lamp conversion done too.
On full beam, it was seriously impressive but when you had to go back to dips, it sometimes felt like you turned the lights off!
The motorway signs reflected so strong, I practically had to wear shades!

Ill have a look into that, how would i get them to work on the main beam, my front fogs work from a separate switch, is there much involved ?On full beam, it was seriously impressive but when you had to go back to dips, it sometimes felt like you turned the lights off!
