Should passenger LED stay on after locked?

Hello all,

I own a Tuscan 2001. The passenger window control knob LED, stays on solid green after the car is locked and armed, is this correct, i am just thinking it may drain the battery?

What are those LED's for anyway? So that you can find the knob in the dark?

To answer the question on mine the LED gos out. It once diid not but cured itself after winding the window up and down a couple times.

Neither of mine ever go out. They flicker when the window is being raised or lowered.

Mine stay on when engine running and flash to confirm they are processing your selection of window up or down. But engine/ignition off, parked and locked they go out.

Mixed feedback then. I will just put it down to another Tuscan quirk. There is no significant drain on the battery, so im not worried. Cheers peeps.

Mines flicker when the alarm is 'arming' for approx 10secs (4 beeps), then they go out.

My understanding is that if the alarm is then set off, for whatever reason, the siren will sound for approx 30secs then go off and the window LEDs will illuminate, letting you know (when you get back to the car) that the alarm has been triggered... then you give the car a once over for damage, etc.

I believe this is the correct operating method of the LEDs/alarm.
