991 Turbo S Discounts from dealer stock ?

A friend of mine is mulling over buying a new 991 Turbo S - in other forums people have eluded to discounts as the list price is over zealous - has anyone had any experience of this ? Also looking at the used car locator there are hardly any available , but most dealerships seem to have one in their showroom - what is the most efficient way to track one down , or is it a case of calling every dealer - any ideas ? 
You have to call the dealers. The ones on the approved used site are demos or already registered. There are a few un-registered cars sitting in dealerships that won't go on the approved used site. Hatfield has two, one in white and one in GT silver. I went through their book of Porsche group stock with them when I was there and there were only a handful in total at the most.

They are silly money IMHO ( vs GT3 / rest) they will depreciate like a bugger - my gen 2 997 Lost me a fortune - I would not buy one unless discounts were stronger than 5%
You couldn't get more than 5% off in December when they were looking for year end sales. I would say no chance in January (or until they get desperate to shift them). I think dealers get them from Porsche for "free" for a while and then start to incur a financing charge but I'm not sure.Edited by DT398 on Monday 13th January 22:22

Gt3's are currently fetching a strong premium, but I suspect this will reduce when the RS is announced and/or the order book opens

There were a fair number on the dealer network for a while, they have all dropped off for some reason, I think its a a bug on the system rather than reality.Even at 10% off I would sooner order my own one at that price level, I would not want one with the cheap black leather!

Really?, I look pretty much every day and have done since early December and never seen more than 2. The ones sitting in dealers are not registered (unless they are demos) and therefore don't show up on the approved used website but there are a few in the PH classifieds. Even at 10% off I would sooner order my own one at that price level, I would not want one with the cheap black leather!
You won't get 10% off. There doesn't seem to be anything cheap about the black leather. I suppose you could pay extra for errr... Brown if you wanted to!

They are clearly struggling with that car it was in the showroom along with a black one when I called in well before Crim.......looks like someone could be in for a steal along with a pair of free sunglasses....:

I checked a couple of OPC websites manually and the car's I expected to see are not listed.
Ditto on expresso chocolate interiors, if were speccing a new one that would be top of my list, it would look great with many colours, especially dark metallics.

I just sold a GT silver cab that had espresso leather and it looked awesome. Would look good with agate grey too. I wanted a black turbos S with black leather this time. It was just time for a change. Not sure how well the espresso would go with the carbon fibre trim in the turbo s but if you want a dark interior that's not black, espresso is a great colour.I checked a couple of OPC websites manually and the car's I expected to see are not listed.
