Hi All, Looking to take the wife out for a nice meal on Valentines day. Not got a massive budget, say £100-120 all in. Close to Milton Keynes preferable as I would like to get a cab to and from, seperate budget for this..

The Birch near Woburn is reliably good. As is the Swan in Salford.

Anywhere in Woburn is good, but Paris House is outside your budget.

The Crooked Billet in Newton Longville has a Valentines menu that might just about be within your budget — or perhaps a bit over, when drinks are included.

The Swan in Salford is good, although I haven't been in there for a while.

Might be a bit too far for a taxi (the other side of the M1), but The Carrington Arms in Moulsoe is great.

Can you still choose your steak from the counter in there?

Yup and pay by the weight that is cut, so you can have as much or as little as you like smile
