Natasha was supposed to be doing the Palmer-Audi Winter series. Having won a nationwide competition to find the best woman racing driver in the country; she then pulls out of her prize drive! Why? Sources say she was not good enough. There are also rumours that her drive was not paid for by the organisers of the competition.

Seems a bit of a mystery that she is not racing!

Point is this just proves that the competition was a farce. Mark Johnston scored two podiums and his father does not make racing cars for a living, have a F1 driver for a brother!

With the person who was behind FW involved, I'm not surprised.

However, if the organisers of FW were meant to have paid for the prize drive, then that does spank of either:
A: a lack of willingness to take the drive
B: a lack of proper talent to drive the car (did she test?)
C: a lack of cash to pay for it in the first place.

So, rather than getting jumpy about upsetting the powers that be in FW (let's be realistic, it's not going to happen again, is it?) why not ask the question yourself Ted? Do some journalism and ask the questions? If FW was meant to propel people in to motorsport (especially the series winner for god's sake) why is she not driving in the prize series she was meant to?

If Natasha did not want drive (so we are led to believe!) why was it not offered to another deserving woman?

There was something in MN about Glew running Firman and Gardner in an all female team in 2005 under the Formula Woman banner. The Formula Woman competition itself is supposed to return in 2006 after a year of reassessment (not the words they used, but something like that).

Mind you, its in MN, so probably complete tosh.

hey it's not that time of year again is it?

James provisional "dates" for FW2005 have been released and are posted up on another fraction themed motorsport site for under 24 hours now.. what you hanging around here for, surely it's time to dust off your soapbox?
