With the recent article on PH on the new JCW I guess that traffic in this part of the forum will increase.
In my case, I'm getting a bit bored of my current car (unfortunately it does happen every couple of years)and I'm now slowly looking into the next step.
I've seen the Clubman JWC and it does look interesting, but can only see 1 on sale for 26K which is way too much! Are those really rare or so good that no one is selling?
An alternative would be the standard JWC (R56?) but I don't think I'll be able to fit much in it

Correct. Only 2 of us, hardly have any other passenger, the boot is only use for the monthly food shopping, the odd Ikea or garden centre trip and suitcases when we go on holiday.
Started looking around the Mini2 forum to get an idea of things, JCW seems to suffer of some sort of engine issues due not enough oil mainly when cold?
Currently driving a Giulietta which I find very good but now fancy a change for some "go-karty" with more (a fair nit more) low end torque

N14 engine in the cooper s and jcw have a few known issues that may crop up and you need to be aware of
High pressure fuel pump failures
Cam chain tensioner issues causing " cold start death rattle "(I think not helped by the fact the engine likes to consume oil 1ltr per 1k is deemed OK by mini)
Being direct injection and therefore no fuel gets near the inlet valves they can suffer from coking up (relative economical remidy available by walnut blasting for @ £250)
