My (poorly) airconditioned office reached 32 this afternoon.
Not at all fun.
The guys on the factory floor got sent home at 2, because it was too hot to work.

Note - my fat fingers clicked the wrong smilie for the topic. It is 29 here now at 11:45 pm, and I am posting on PH because it's too hot to sleep frown

Oh that does sound a bit poo now.

I think I'm better off sitting inside here in my rugby shirt and 2 jumpers.

I was in france for some time driving around in a black 205 (1.9 gti smile ) I was melting so I covered the roof in white duck tape. That helped a bit.
Then I went one further and made a cardboard and duck tape safari roof, a getto version of the land rovers.

Maybe the sound of the world's smallest violin will help you drift off.

Just so you know thats not a photo of the 205. I didn't have enough cardboard to turn it into a landrover.

You can put more clothes on.
I have only one item left to remove, and am already NSFW (sitting at home).

The van interior temperature is obscene after it has been parked in the sun all day, even with a sunshade on the windscreen. I would guess 50+ (will measure it tomorrow afternoon).

Is that 29 indoors? It sits at 28 in our bedroom in hot weather in the summer. Bought a portable a/c unit last summer which does make it feel better, but doesn't drop the temp more than a couple of degrees. It's also staggeringly noisy!

Not bragging at all.

30 bushfires out of control in Victoria at the moment.
5 emergency warnings current.

My mother, who lives in the country, has her evacuation kit packed by the back door.

The factory where I work has closed the non-office areas at lunchtime all week due to the heat.

Power outages & train cancellations across the south.

And it's only January - not looking good for the rest of the summer.

Ok, my car aircon being u/s is a first world problem, but the heat is real.

I share your pain brother, the weathers not what it used to be , we've had low pressure here for two weeks and a steady wind at 15 mph blowing off the sea which makes the palm trees noisy , grey skies , heavy rain ....oh and it's a cool 26 degrees ...
I'd post this on the "1st world problems " thread but I'd get flamed , much safer here .

Got to 28 here today (Christchurch NZ), not nice - at least the aircon in the van works.

How ironic I was finishing off two underfloor heating systems. The best part was getting the air sourced heat pump outdoor unit going - blasting out cool air.

I see Adelaide was 43 today......
