I've not done a track day for 8 years so I don't know what's changed in the mean time, but I've just booked a day with MSV at Snetterton and the T&Cs say strictly no filming.

In practice does this mean exactly that? It's a Snetterton day and I'd love to have my GoPro securely mounted. I have filmed on MSV days in the distant past and just had to sign a permission form on the day and satisfy the marshals that it was secure.

I have not been denied access with a vbox system that has the dashboard OLED unit - which can do live timing to various levels. I think its a standard getout and if you did drive 'beyond limits' and had this in place would probably be kicked off.

I haven't used MSV for a while either, but all others I have used say no to suction mounts & any others must be declared & checked prior to their agreement to use.

I did 2 msv days at Brands a few months back, and not only did they not mind filming, they even mentioned it in the briefings to ensure all mounts are properly fixed (ie not suction).

Msv get you to sign disclaimer and they insist on physically fixed mount.

As others have said, as long as it's not held on with a suction cup you'll be fine.

I queried suction cups for use on the outside - they were open to the cleark checking and approving an individual setup, but suggested that a suction cup would need to be backed up by a sturdy tether. I never took it further as I kept mine mounted inside on my headrest bracket.
