Third-party warranty recommendations?
Discussion
Sure there's a thread doing the rounds somewhere but couldn't find one for the life of me.
Right, long story short is that I've had my SEAT for a little over 6 months now. It has done around 84,000 miles and in that time it has unfortunately needed a fair bit spending on it. New diverter valve + fitting, replaced AC compressor and a new CV joint adds up. With this in mind I've been looking into some of the third-party warranty providers.
So far I've looked into Click4Warranties and Warranty Direct. The former is cheaper than the latter, but I'd have to pay extra for ABS, turbo and air conditioning system (about £10 premium each). Even with these included it seems cheaper. The terms are a bit more favourable too (no 90 day restriction on claims for wear and tear, for example) but their website isn't very clear and I can't find much discussion of them on the 'webs. Warranty Direct would only offer 50% cover on parts costs due to the mileage of the car, seem to have quite mixed reception but are recommended by The Telegraph ect.
What are people's opinions on these policies? Any recommendations, or other providers to look into?
