Out of interest, how do you change the badge?
I ask because I was thinking of getting a gold badge, but worried about breaking/snapping something in the process (going by my track record...)
Look in the boot under the light, there is a flap to access the 2 nylocs that hold the badge in place You will need a new plinth gasket, some washers & a 2p coin to hand plus a magnetic ratchet so you don't end up dropping the nuts into the body void to rattle round for ever more. Oh and the patience of a saint to position the badge correctly and nip the nuts up to just the right tightness so the boot solenoid works as it should! You can't break this one Chris but 2 nuts that should be a simple 10 minute job...... noooooI ask because I was thinking of getting a gold badge, but worried about breaking/snapping something in the process (going by my track record...)

I think the boot lock/solenoid could do with a fiddle as opening the boot takes a few attempts at pushing the boot badge..

Thank you! As they say in Top Gear - How hard can it be?

The badge actuates the button that operates the solenoid. Adjusting the pressure on the badge via the nuts that hold the bade to the body will sort it..... eventually
