Plenty available. You can get a generic system either from Car Builder Solutions in the UK, or for a really good range Southern Rods in Georgia - that's who I use.
You will be better off using a generic stand alone system - although it may be worth searching out an oe compressor and condenser.

For a 968, have you considered using a factory 944/968 system? Quite a few have been taken out of cars over the years, especially those turned into track slags, and in some cases are probably just lying around on the shelf. Try the PCGB 944 forum.

Cheers for the help. I know a couple of guys have used the 944/968 AC parts but theres a lot to change and its expensive. Something like £1500 fitted and thats for 20+ year old parts that could die at any time. Will have a look into the options suggested above.

I considered doing this when I was watching American Hotrod more often - they seemed to put it in every job. I decided against it because I don't use the car over winter and it probably wouldn't do the system any good, but good to know there are still sources out there. My car never had it as an option, so a completely aftermarket system would be the only way.
