A basic question about camping

Hi everyone,

So - my first Le Mans this year. Taking a 2 seater with 2 people therein, and have camping purchased as well as 2 general entrance tickets.

My question to those who have been before - there are 2 of us in the car, for which I understand we only need one camping pass. It may however be the case that we have a 3rd friend coming by train. If our camping passes are per vehicle how can that person come and stay with us in our tent? I guess I am really asking what passes we are personally given so we can walk in and out of the camping area we are staying in.

Your friends GE pass should admit him to the campsite. Camping permit is for 1 vehicle and tent with however many people (as long as they all have GE tickets) so all good.

Depends on which campsite you have tickets, on the better secured sites the security people are getting tough handing out passes when you leave and only letting you back in if you have a pass, however if you explain this to the more friendly security staff you can get the extra person in we had people arrive by train on thursday/friday last year and got them in by explaining the situation.

As others have said, camping permit is for the pitch and the car. You also need individual GE Tickets. If security gets arsey just leave your passenger on site, drive out, pick up your mate then drive back in. But they WILL have to buy there own GE Ticket.

Oh and to answer your basic question about camping.....Yes you need a Tent
