Hi All

Just wondered if those with factory front splitters find they ground often and if the reduced opening angle of the clip proves to be a problem? The reason I ask is I want to consider this as part of my build, but if in every day use they ground or bottom out on some of our roads then I will give it a miss.

You could always lift the right height by the thickness of the splitter - which doesn't help the ramp angle much but may help with speed humps.

I have had a splitter on the car for 3 years. its made out of 7 layer Baltic birch. When I built the first one I built a spare thinking I would need to replace it every 6 months or so. 3 years and counting yes there is some damage on the bottom but I am the only one that knows its there. As far as the hood not opening just drive the car onto a blank of wood problem solved. Lee
