I am getting married in September this year and looking to book the wedding cars.

However before I delve into what I have no idea about I thought I would ask on here. See if there was a PHer running a wedding car business

Thought it makes sense to give business to them than to a stranger.

Don't get a wedding car! Rent a super car for the day! Far more PH worthy! haha!

Well originally Laura wanted a Morgan, as it is her favourite car. However it is not practical.

Also I would love to be taken in a supercar, however the practicality of the cost of supercars wouldn't make me happy.

I do a few each year in mine (car 26) and will give you a good deal as you're from York!

I've already got a booking for 7th sept though

here's a pic from my sons prom last summer (I didn't quite manage to get them all in at once!)

another from a wedding near Middlesborough last September

if you fancy a self drive in a classic Mustang/Corvette/alfa/Jag/VW/Bentley there's this company based near Pocklington

We used Lavelle Classics for our wedding a few months ago.

Traditional cars, superb service - good value, recommended.

If you want traditional maybe this company?
http://www.rollshire.com/

The owner's son is the rep for the Yorkshire area of the Rolls Royce club I believe. Have seen one of the cars at Cannon Hall car show.

Think a friend hired this. Looked fantastic

http://www.superiormotorcars.co.uk/cars/1968-jagua...

I went a different route and hired a vintage bus for mrs r and bridesmaids. It also shipped the guests between the 2 venues

Ask nicely and you can normally round up a fleet of ferraris a for a few bottles of decent scotch and a sniff of the barmaids apron!

Thanks, as much as I would be happy to rock up in the Mustang the reality is I am not in charge. She is wanting more old school.

Obviously well looked after if part of Rolls Club.

I have sent an email asking for prices and availability.

I have sent an email to the top company. Thank you.

The bottom one might be a bit too big. As we are having the wedding and reception at the same place. The Railway Museum.

Jonty Widdel put a request out on here and half a dozen of us turned up and escorted him and some of his party to the wedding in various cars. As a result of him being so impressed by yellow Ferrarii he bought himself one.

Jonty and I later did a yellow ferrari wedding for a guy called Greg (and Jonty's car made it all the way to the reception without breaking down)

There's the obvious issue of the best man and groom not being in the same car as they should be, and the Groom and bride not being able to leave in the cars, unless the groom can get his own insurance and said exotica owners are very nice and willing to let him drive it.

His contact details are on this advert:
http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C397570

The one for sale is not the one he uses for Weddings. Both are in great condition, and we used the hire one on my wedding last summer.
Just say your the person David wanted his contact details for, the owner is called David as well.

see www.vintagepackard.co.uk

Perhaps you might not see it for what it is since you thought a Beaufort is stunning (its a plastic kit car)

It is a bit new really.

Perhaps you may not see what we have got for what it is as it is British 1910s Lanchester, not a modern yank Packard.

Thanks everyone else for the help.

Got a few other vintage cars through a family friend as he has given us free reign on his collection which is amazing.

used them too, faultless service............. our photographer even won some award with a pic of my wife sat in their car !

had the rolls royce silver cloud 111. and the Moet of course.

my other choice in fairness was an A team van, but not really fair on my bride !
