For different reasons, I would like to achieve a softer ride in my V8V (missus moans at how firm it is)I have been looking at the Nitron NTR Race R1+ and am not sure if these would be able to provide this level of comfort.
I have had suspension checked but not properly tested for Damper wear, ie to see if there was a lack of rebound control, but all else seems to be ok. The new springs themselves will obviously be stiffer but not sure if on a softer setting I would achieve anything better than standard.

Has anyone had any experience that can let me know if there is a noticeable difference before I spend out?

I had a set of Nitrons on a previous car.
They are very good and you can specify the spring and damper ratings
Not sure you would want to go very much softer as the damper may not be able to accomodate the travel required. The adjusters can also be awkward to get to.
They can also be a PITA to set up right, they will require a lot of fiddling, tweaking and geometry corrections before you find you're sweet spot
You may be better off looking at switchable dampers?
The new version from a "certain sticky supplier above" will allow you to adjust the stiffness in the two settings so you could have super soft for when the LSB is with you and slightly stiffer for better handling when you are on your own (or the LSB is not concentrating on the ride wink )?

Sorry Molly we do not have switchable suspension ! We have the very latest incarnation from Bamford Rose in the form of Active Suspension. This is a big leap forward as Mike and his team can tune the suspension to be as soft as you like in Soft Mode and as firm as you choose in Hard .

To anyone looking to upgrade their current car ,Active Suspension would be my first recommendation. In Pearl I would say that for 90 % of the time we are in Soft Mode which gives a relaxed long legged feel to our V8S. When the time comes to really press on the button is held for about 3 seconds, it flashes, then stays on glowing red. There is no immediate change other than when you tackle the first bend there is little or no trace of body roll just vastly improved handling. BR also work their magic on the steering (toe in) which combined with their suspension mods means that the car now devours corners but remains arrow straight .

Honest advice , give BR a call

If I wish to adjust the ride quality in a car I simply adjust the amount of cushions under my derriere smile
