Toyota FT-1: Pic Of The Week

POTW celebrates the fact you can now 'drive' Toyota's stunning FT-1 in Gran Turismo 6

'Show -stopper' isn't really a phrase heard too often now at global motoring expos, what with production models spied testing and concepts 'leaked' weeks in advance. But with the FT-1, Toyota really has shocked Detroit. That occurs very seldom.

It may not be conventionally beautiful but it is distinctive and unashamedly demands attention. If the FT-1 in any way previews a future Supra, it bodes very well indeed. Imagine the Supra versus NSX versus GT-R rivalry reignited for the 2010s...

And though it'll be a while before you can drive it - or anything like it - you can already download the FT-1 and enjoy it in virtual form in Gran Turismo 6, from where we've taken our POTW. Virtual or real, it's a real stunner.

Not sure where you got that from, I don't think there has been any concrete promise to sort the sound in GT6 out and I don't think they can.

They need to stop trying to mimic the facial profile of cars to that of people.
