Legacy Spec B or 2.0T A4 Quattro?
Discussion
Car will probably do around 6,000 miles max a year if that. Budget of around £6,000. The Saab TTiD is going to make way for two different cars now.
I'm leaning towards the Subaru, looks solid, excellent AWD, 3.0 Flat Six. Excellent for the nursery runs and hauling crap..
Or lean towards the Audi?
Thanks

The TSi 2.0 is a total peach of an engine, i loved both of mine.
Economical, realistic 42mpg and £175 tax, cam chain not belt. Lovely flat torque curve, the boost threshold is down about 1700rpm so it just feels like a bigger engine. If it's the newer engine (EA888) it's got a stronger fuel pump and so a stage one remap takes it to a claimed 260bhp (so un-inflated real world 230ish probably)
That said, i've just picked up a 2.5 turbo Forester, it's the Impreza WRX engine but detuned with softer cams. Very very nice for the money on offer. Wafty rather than aggressive like the TSi. Too early for me to say much else, only had it a few days.
EDIT: just realised it's a different subaru engine, doh!

Another vote for the Audi, though the 05-08 2.0TFSI has a cam belt and costs £280 to tax compared to £200 for the 08- now I think.Economical, realistic 42mpg and £175 tax, cam chain not belt.
