Minor MCL knee injury?
Discussion
I am plagued by minor injuries...
Following a gentle run the other evening, I woke up with slight tenderness in the soft tissues on the inner side of both knee joints.
There was never any obvious impact or twist
The left knee recovered within minutes once I'd walked about in the house.
The right knee wasn't painful, but there was a distinct spot that was sore to touch and I occasionally felt it a little whilst walking. I can run and did a grappling session (possibly not advisable) without pain. It now appears to have stiffened up a little. There is some discomfort if I tense my quads with a straight leg whilst standing.
There's no obvious swelling or bruising, though.
I assume that this is a very minor strain/tear of the ligament . Minor grade 1 according to what I've read.
I'm icing it in the evenings.
Has anybody else experienced similar?
Is a week of rest from twisting activities be likely to see it right?
Would cycling be advisable?
ps. It seems to be easing off a bit, although is a bit stiff after being stationary for a while.
