4.5 remap with standard induction
Discussion
Has anyone on the forum had their 4.5 remapped retaining the original induction pipes without going for the short induction? If so, could you tell me if it was worth it in terms of low rpm drivability and any worthwhile improvement in performance?
Any opinions from the knowledgeable will be gratefully received. Tom.

The mapping session will likely cost far more than the short induction so you should do that first. Some people have posted up gains on just going to the short induction without changing the map.
If your problem is shunting at low rpm though then short induction only may not be the answer and a mapping session would be your best bet.

Can't remember where I got this information from, but from memory, it's not a good idea to fit short induction without a remap. Apparently, the MBE ECU only looks at throttle opening and revs to calculate how much fuel goes into the cylinder. In other words, the ECU won't have the facility to revise the fuel/air ratio in relation to short induction setup, which could lead to pinking at high revs.
I would imagine that if you approach Joolz he will give you a deal on short induction plus remap. Unless you have just replaced your long hoses for new ones the chances are that they will be completely shot anyway (collapsing under load). One day with Joolz transformed my car - the most money I've spent on my car, but worth every penny, and he's such nice guy too!
