From looking at the forum categories I guess "satnav" is the closest heading I could find to discuss tracker systems. My insurance company is insisting on me fitting a vehicle tracking system. What would you recommend pricewise? Heard trackers all have a bad rep at the moment so thinking will just go with the cheapest to satisfy my insurance.
Thanks

Hi,

My insurer says I need to fit a vehicle tracking system as part of their standard terms. What systems do people use? Will the type of tracker affect premiums? Heard some bad press about vehicle trackers recently so current thinking is to get the cheapest system to fit the bill. Any recommendations? Presumably there will be a fitting cost and annual subscription?

Thanks

IMHO I've always been able to find cheap insurance without the demand for a tracker. Have you done the usual price comparison web sites, plus DirectLine?

It will be for a Noble M12 with mods so that automatically shrinks the pool of insurers. Cheapest quotes currently are currently asking for a device to be fitted which incidentally is Direct Line as you mention.

I've posted 2. Put the first one in the Satnav section earlier this morning as there did not seem to be a specific "Tracker" section (thought Satnav was the closest out of all the options). Noticed that that had been deleted from the Satnav section (presume because off topic) so have reposted in "General".

They don't give a st about the customer, do they? I'd level that charge at Tracker and Pistonheads in this case.

Strange. Well I'm sure if one of the IT guys on here is able to increase the number of posts and move them between categories there must be someone on here that can somehow squish them all back into one post!
