early s1 window switches

Hi,
has anyone attempted to fit the giff electric window switches (from a Vauxhall) to an early S1? If so how easy is it? The alignment of the pins on the back of the switches seems to be different and I was wondering if it is possible to replace without the need for a complex relay system.

Did thE S1s not have wind up windows?

This one had electric windows and mirrors as optional extras! I think they may have been added in 1990 two years after first registration The window switches look suspiciously like ford ones with 6 pins in a direct line (like the first two and last two pins from the griff switch with the middle two lined up with the first and last two)

I saw an S1.... with the switches on the door rather then on the dash..... it looked like an after sales fix
