CLA45 any good as 4x4?

I just noticed that the CLA45 has 4wheel drive. Ive just moved somewhere remote so would like the idea of a 4wheel drive for snowy/poor conditions. Is the CLA45 remotely capable due to its 4matic system, or is it simply there to improve race handling, not snow handling?

4matic will be an improvement on usual rear wheel drive. A set of winter tyres will make a real difference and should keep you moving if the snow comes!

If you do get the car, would be good to hear how it copes in the winter. I had a rear wheel c class and now have ML as it was so bad where I live. But would like to go back to c class if the 4 matic is available.

It may not quite have the ground clearance of a proper 4x4 but 4matic and winter tyres will see you through almost anything, as long as you don't bottom out. My C class with 4matic and winter tyres is unstoppable, and provides a very sure footed handling in all conditions.
