I am what you might call a part time photographer, very much in the beginers phase.

I am very pleased though with the results of a family stroll along West Wittering beach yesterday afternoon. I hadn't taken my "decent" camera (Nikon F50) as photography was not on the agenda, I did take along my little compact digi-box though (Samsung 4.0) and managed to reel off 15-20 of the best photographs I have ever taken. The light was fantastic and the colours with the sun through the clouds were outstanding.

Now, I know this needs pictures to make this thread work. I have no way of posting any! Could one of you kind people allow me to email you a few and get them on here?

Cheers

PaulB.

You can use www.fotango.com to upload your pics to. It`s easy enough - once uploaded, make sure you get the link, ie something like "www.fotango.com/yourpic.jpg" and then to put on here, you simply add [pic] on the front of the link and [/pic] on the end - exactly as shown with no gaps, and it will appear on your post!

Showing off

I don't even own a photoshop type software yet! So, lots to learn. I think I'll concentrate on which way round the camera goes first.

I'm sure you don't need PS to montage two pics together... but the point was really that you had two very nice source images, one with a great sky and one with a decent foreground and a point of interest. I just stuck 'em together. Good stuff Paul

Even on fotangos default small image size those skies look great. Don't be afraid to vary your camera height (tho lying down on a wet beach may not be the best idea ) but best thing to remember in photography is *there are no rules*. Keep up the good work and if you get any other pics you want to share please let us see
good stuff
