Feeling good after.

Solving lack of rear wash on the X5. Pipe compressed under the bulkhead (how does that happen!).
Lack of parking sensors - used laptop diagnostic to spot two faulty sensors on front. Very handy... (as usual bloke who sold me car was lying).
Freed stuck rear wiper on MB work car.

None of them big, but all potential garage bills that I've avoided.

You?

DRIVEN IT!!!

It's been so wet I haven't driven it since Xmas day.

It was nice to give it a blast and you forget just how swift it can be.

Sat on the side of the A90 with it for almost 2 hours awaiting recovery only at the last minute before he showed up figured out a very simple fix that got me back to the unit to fix it. Doh.

Had the tracking done on my Abarth 500, test drove it properly with a new Koni suspension and then went to an Abarth Cotswold meet.

This weekend I've been offered a part share in a DB5 that's undergoing restoration and persuaded a friend to finish his Lagonda in time to go to Prescott in it in August. Nothing practical or driving related unfortunately.

New wiper blades easy.

Wishbones and ball joints on my mk4 golf, easy I thought 3 hours should have done it. Turns out vw apply thread lock to all bolts and one but on each side cannot be removed so easily it has to be cut out. Took hours and hours headache

Removed engine and 'box from a C Type replica so the middle body can be fitted to the chassis. Then replaced rear hub on a Signum due to bearing failure.
Driven my Saab a lot with the heater on full to dry and dry the poor thing out. Boot lid is rusted round the window and water pours in when it rains.

We went to see Top Gear Live in Glasgow yesterday afternoon, quite a good show, worth the drive down from Aberdeen.

Replaced the rear wash wipe nozzle on my civic. It's a tiny part, but now it sprays water on the rear screen instead of on following vehicles!

I've just taken a 10 year old out in my Lotus 2-Eleven for a blast down some twisty B roads. He absolutely loved it biggrin He told me the fastest thing he'd been in so far was his Dad's Astra! Maybe another petrolhead in the making as of today smile
