Is it clearly sign-posted that they are now actually active?

The camera signs have been there for years along that whole western stretch of the M25 but everyone knows they don't work so have they done anything to differentiate the bits that don't work from the bits that do?

Hold on...

On Friday night just gone I drove back along that whole stretch at about 12:30 in the morning and it was empty and I was not watching my speedo wink but nothing untoward happened. No flashes of light in my rear view mirror as I passed under the gantrys...are you sure they work?
Yep they do work, on my way to the markets at 5am on a Saturday morning going north from jun 9-13 the night sky is lite up like a Christmas tree with flashes from the cameras, this is on the north and South bound so be carefully.

Wow, thats gonna fill the coffers.

I actually posted that message before I realised it was the M1 that was being talked about and not the M25.

Coincidently it those same numbered junctions on the M25 that have threatened to be going 'live' for years now.

I had a call from a friend who told me that the surrey section of the M25 had gone live.

I was very careful on my drive into work.

They do work I have the NOIP on my desk, and yes I have seen them working the other way when I am travelling North on the M1.

Just hope a load more don't come through the letter box, as the offence is dated 10/1/14

I can tell you categorically that they are not live or, if they are, they are 'set' to snap at a very very high speed.

These cams are in special reduced speed sections when speed signs flash they become live, otherwise I do not think they flash.
