Cheap HPI checks

Someone came to view the car I am selling on Sunday. I'd given him the number plate for a HPI, he used mycarcheck.

When he arrived he showed me that the car had been written off! Surprising as it was HPI clear when I bought it and I'd not had it written off.

Then, he called HPI themselves and done a check, turns out my car had a private plate on it at some point and since I done a HPI, the car carrying the private plate had been written off.

I'll only be doing proper HPI checks from here on out, if these cheaper companies cant manage their data!

This is what I found when I bought my mx5. Text check say may have been written off please call, I have no idea what happens when you call I'm guessing you have to pay for a full check.
