Not another What Car thread! RS4 content at least

Looking for a new car around August so getting some pre work in early! In a nutshell

I've got up to 15k budget, don't car about the tax band, 2 fill ups will be the same as the extra between some of them
Would like something faster than my current steed (2006 Saab 9-3 Aero 240bhp remapped)
But no older than say 2005.
Mileage not much of an issue but lower the better obviously (I do up to 9k a year)
Preferably 4wd but fwd would be fine (surrounded by tight twisties, in Scotland so its wet/cold a lot and after driving some rwd on the back roads in the wet/cold they simply aren't as good as a fwd - plus I don't do drifting/slides and gf has an MX5 anyway)
Manual or paddles are fine but not full auto as I will be doing a mixture of motorway/queues for getting to work then back roads for the rest of the time.
MPG not a massive issue but would like decent motorway MPG and at least 22 the rest of the time to save my wallet if possible!!

The thing I like most is the B7 RS4 at the moment but I might be being blinkered a bit of other possibilities?
