Curries, chillis and other spicy foods generally do. Whenever you make one make double and leave half the fridge for a couple of days, tastes so much better.

48 hours is nothing, anything under 72 hours in open air is perfectly safe, even for girls.

Be careful with Sweet and Sour chicken balls though.

I once re-visited mine the next day, although it had been left out all night! The after effects were spectacular to say the least.

I personally wouldn't risk it. It's not worth the potential food poisoning - I felt like I was going to die last time it happened to me! I'd rather just pay for another meal! But give it a go and let us know how you get on!

Got a curry a few weeks back. Stuffed before I finished it, but not enough left to put in the fridge for another meal so left it on the kitchen work surface to scrape into the food recycling bin in the morning. Waiting for the kettle to boil the next day started pickig at it, funny how hot cold curry can be.

Be absolutely fine, often we buy a takeaway with the idea of leaving half for lunch the follow day, or the day after that!

3 day old curry is fking ACE!!!

The meat is more tender, the flavours more developed and the heat intensifies a wee bit too.

That said, I feel for the UK guys that get the standard High Street fare - it's shockingly poor compared to the real deal.

We have a reeeaaallly good Indian locally but the easy way round that is to make your own.

I've got quite inventive with my curries and my Wife makes chapatis. Great fun too.
