going to watch running on empty again !!!
classic drag race movie, reminds me off my time at the drags at fishes , and the caltex garage near Jupiters casino and traffic light racing.
anyway it opens up with a HT/G monaro losing the race against the "fox" then crashing on purpose becasue he just can't bear handing over his car (don't race for pink slips kiddies)

Yes mate, it's a fantastic movie, I remember when it first came out in Australia & watching it at the Drive-in. Loved it when that 57 Chev did the big Burnout ! also like the drag racing scenes set at the docks in Sydney, because I work down that way.
I have just got the movie on DVD,took a while to find it. Love it!
