Does anyone know were the rubber gear gaitor on a wedge comes from, mine has split in several areas and is knackered.

I bought one off e-bay three or four years ago. I've had a look at my history but it's too long ago to check but I think it was a Sierra one, definitely Ford though. I had a browse on there but can't see one unfortunately. Steve

Hmm, well I did a search for Sierra gearlever gaiters and the one that most commonly appears isn't what's on my car. I recall it being a rectangular base with the bellows section offset to one end. The gaiter was marked Diesel one end and Petrol the other with arrowheads, I asssume to point forwards (on the Sierra). I tried mine both ways and I think it fit best with Diesel to the front.
ISTR I got mine from a TVR dealer (one of about three occasions where I used them!).

ETA I wonder if it's the lower bit of this one (held down by the cast bracket)...

Well mines not off a sierra looking at those and comparing to mine. Could it be a case of what they could get hold of at the time or does it not really matter?

Mine is exactly the same as yours. I recall there being two types when I bought mine but it could have been mislabelled. I've done a few more searches and still can't see one for you so maybe it's a case of waiting for one to turn up.
