Cayman S for £10k on Gumtree!

Hi all, is this kosher? Low miles but dodgy history. Surely if the car was serviced at OPC then they should be able to provide service details for the current owner (if the services were paid by the current owner)

For 'bargain' read desperate.

There may very well be a legitimate reason as to why its so cheap, but the sceptic in me smells a rat.

About three years go I had a car advertised on PH - keenly priced at £18995.

A friend then called me and told me my car was advertised on Gumtree for £11,995.

A scammer had simply copied everything and changed the price and contact details.

Another friend in the trade tells me the scam operates by trying to extract a deposit to 'hold' the non-existent car, from a bargain hunter (or an idiot?) because there is so much interest in it. They take as many of these as they can get before the ad is reported when the meeting with the first buyer does not take place.
