Looking at a new car but its already spec'd so I can't add the deployable tow bar. It can be fitted by dealer for £2k+ which seems a bit steep. Anyone aware of a detachable system that can be installed?

has it changed since the previous design? ...you can usually pick them up for £100 or so on ebay...then get the official electrics pack from PFjones and have the dealer fit/program it

did mine for under £300 all in on a 2008 model...

Yes. It's either dealer fit eclectic deployable swan neck or a fixed height one like on the defender. The deployable is nearly £2,500 as a dealer fit !

mm...not good news then...guess it may be a while before alternatives surface on the market, but im sure they will

it was just the same when they brought out the removeable towbar on the old RR...but at least then you could still fit a standard aftermarket tow bar for £200 instead of the £1300 they wanted
