Afternoon gents,

I have a 2012 XFR and was wondering if there is a fuse that I can safely remove to maintain a louder exhaust note?
I know it changes with the use of the Sport button smilebut would prefer it to sound a bit more aggressive all the time smilesmile.

Thanks in advance for your help.

You can remove the pressure activated valve in the rear boxes if you want a bit more noise, it need taking out and a cap welded in the place of the valve.
If not, as has been said a Quicksilver or Spires exhaust is your option.
I have a couple of rear boxes for the XFR that have had the valve professionally removed if they are of interest, I am in Peterborough

David,
Good to meet you today and very envious of the little extras that you have on your car.
Thanks for the exchange on the boxes and will let you know as soon as they are fitted regarding noise level
and also whether there is any performance fall-off issues that we mentioned.

Good to meet you too Chris, looking forward to hearing those boxes release the harmonics of the V8 smile

Hi David,
I had the modified rear boxes fitted last Thursday and unfortunately, due to weather conditions /potholes/general traffic volume, I have not been able to get the car up to a decent speed yet. I am hoping to get an opportunity to open the throttle a bit this week (legally of course!). Revving it on the spot there is not that much of a noticeable change, (although my wife thinks there is) until about 4000rpm when it does get a bit fruitier and there is a nice little "pop" on the overrun.
Will keep you posted.

Hi Chris,

Revving on the spot is never good for sound, firstly the car is restricted to 3k RPM, also with no load on the engine, the pressure isn't high enough to give a good sound
