M3 Front Bumper
Discussion
I have quite a few stone chips on the front bumper E46 (more rash than actual big chips) what do people think is a reasonable price for having it prepped and re-sprayed, the shop would have to remove and re-fit as I wouldn't trust myself to do it properly!

I think it really depends a lot on the quality of the body shop you use. As a ballpark figure after having some paintwork sorted on my m3 I'd say anywhere from £250 to £500. Full front end resprays (both wings and bumper) tend to be around £800-1000 give or take a little either way.
You definitely get what you pay for when it comes to body shops and paintwork. While you're there for peace of mind I'd see if they will take the arch liners and wings off and clean up the arches / sills and treat them to prevent rust in the future, just did this as a preventative measure on my car.

Cheers, I have had a quote of £420 (inc VAT) from the local BMW approved body shop which I didn't think was unreasonable but wanted another opinion. I hear what you say about the wings but it is an 06 car so should still be OK? I have cleaned all under the wheel arches front and rear and sprayed with ACF50 so hopefully that helps, I don't have the nerve to remove the liners though
