Auto Enrolment pension scheme.

Just had a letter about my employer's auto enrolment pension scheme which states that they firm will only be contributing 1% of wages to the scheme. Is this right? I thought I had heard the employer would be contributing more than this as a minimum.

The minimum is 1% rising to 3% over time.
