Anyone see Fifth Gear last night with VBH doing her VMax impression in a Vanquish?

They were apparently using a US airfield base (in the UK) that has a 2.5 mile runway - anyone know which one or where it is?

Perhaps we should invite her along to VMax VII for some tips - she was a bit girly-squealy about the whole thing....

I did 173 in the DB9 , why on earth would you spend an extra 60 bags on a Vanquish ?

Does your fanbelt ping off when you turn full lock Stu?

Bear in mind you did it on a runway 1/2 a mile shorter too.

It's gone to the dealer today to get the brakes checked. I think I melted them at VMAX
So if anyone sees a silver DB9 going like the clappers in Kent/Essex it's probably the old man missbehaving !

Suprising they didn't mention anything about the effect of a headwind/tailwind - seems to make quite a difference.

also, the more I see them the more I think the DB9 is just so much better looking than the vanquish.

I recall getting a run in Simon's Lambo. He said
"I'm not the best driver in the world and sh*t myself at highspeeds"
I said ok no problem....

Now if you were a decent bloke you would have taken into consideration his fears and offered to drive the Lambo for him.

I did , but he reconed he's an even worse passenger. He didn't want any rides
We'll have to get him over his phobia next vmax. Maybe just strap him in

Know how you feel chap, when the Cerb hit 170+ knowing the bonnet was about to rip off, sh!t your pants time!!! Felt like the car was gonna rip apart, well some of it did I suppose ...The 360 was so tame at those speeds, I do miss the adrenaline.....T.
