The Noble M400 has won the Autocar Awards 2004 Driver's Car of the Year.

Interestingly the new Porsche wasn't even mentioned.

Well done Lee, Simon, Stuart, Richard, Bob and the rest - another well deserved award!

Many thanks! Obviously, the contest was won some time ago, but Lee went to London to receive the actual award yesterday.

The awards are coming in thick and fast now.

I think a bigger factory must be on the cards very soon.

Well done the Tea-Boy, and all the important people too)

Martin.

Did he say anything?

"Thank you to my wife, children, family, and, ooohh... err.... yes... PG!"

(Or was it Tetley??)

Congratulations Simon and team.

OT, why do you call Lee Teaboy?

Long story....

On the original Noble Owner's mailing list, Lee famously posted one day about the development of the car, including that he also made the tea.

It just sort of stuck after that

I've never really worked out if he minds us calling him it, but always seems to laugh about it!

Totally O/T but JEEZ...that's a gorgeous car on your profile, is it a real one? What year?

Martin.

Martin,

Thanks for the compliment. It is a Superformance 1965 Cobra 427 S/C(Mark III)replica built at the same factory as the Noble. As you are familiar with the quality of the Noble, the Superformance has the same great fit and finish as well. Their paint jobs are phenominal. My car has the Ford 460 engine putting out 560 hp. It is a blast to drive, but I'm ready for a change and the Noble M-12 GTO 3R is what excites me now. The Cobra is up for sale and hopefully I'll be able to pick up a Noble down the road.

Martin,

That photo was taken at Michigan International Speedway this last summer for our(SAAC)convention. There were lots of originals and replicas to see. The SAAC(Shelby American Automobile Club)conventions are always a great time. This next year the 30th annual convention will be held at California Speedway in Riverside California. There will be a hugh turnout of original Cobras at this event.

I know this is an extremely un-hip admission, but I'm not up to date with most of the abbreviations used on forums/texts. My wife tells me that LOL means 'Lots of Love'. I hope - and I do REALLY hope - that Rob's intimacy with all things Noble is not extending in my direction!
