Hi all,

Had a small lightbulb moment.

Not long ago I changed the water temp sensor, and every so often in the cold I get a misfire.

I've tried alot of things to sort it, but is quite random.

Thinking perhaps the little chamber the sensor sits In might have some air trapped?? So only gives the ecu a true reading when the little air pocket gets warmed by the water... Does this sound plausible, if so, shall I refit ensuring to fill the little chamber with water before refitting?

I doubt that's your problem, more likely to be ignition related if its intermittent

No lightbulb moment, all it would do is make it run rich, not a misfire, more like dizzy rotor, cap or as Richard says
